Could I get in trouble for a Facebook group?

A couple of months ago, I made a facebook fan page for my physics teacher, who has all these unique quirks and mannerisms that I'd thought I'd pay a tribute to. After I made the page, someone posted a picture of themselves giving the teacher the finger, then some people began complaining about him on the page's wall. I wrote a disclaimer saying that the group wasn't meant to be offensive, just comedic. Facebook deleted the page, but didn't say why. I think it's because I was unauthorized to make it, but I'm pretty sure my teacher made a complaint. Could I get into trouble with my school for the page if it wasn't meant to be offensive?
