Does religion promote faith in social hierarchies and obedience to authority figures?

It sure does, just look at all the U.S. politicians who say they believe in god then get into office and take money from big businesses to screw over the people who voted them in! Then the first thing they do when they get into office is to vote themselves a hefty raise! Yeah! Gods and devils only exist in ones properly brainwashed mind and the politicians know this so why don't you voters get wise!
