What are some famous "clics" authors?

Shakespeare, Steinbeck, Tolstoy, Virginia Woolf, Earnest Hemmingway, Emily Bronte and Charlotte Bronte, there's more clic books than clic authors in my opinion.... Like 1984, Gone with the wind, anna karenina, madame bovary, animal farm, catcher in the rye, the great gatsby, Jane Eyre, heart of darkness, lord of the flies, robinson crusoe, to kill a mockingbird, rebecca, Lolita, C.S. Lewis, Perks of being a wallflower.
