Serious question for Christians, why do we appease sin?

seriously instead of submitting to God and following His standards, why does our society appease sin? how come people are afraid to stand up to say that ity and abortion is wrong? why do we want to tell ourselves that "oh we are ok, were just fine" NO were not we are SINNERS in the eyes of God and ALL of us have to Repent and turn to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior so why is this? how come no one wants to take a stand for rightouesness anymore?
