Anyone had scoliosis surgery in their adulthood?

I have at least a 47 degree curve, as well as another smaller curve in my spine and wore a brace as a teen. I almost needed surgery in my teens, but the doctor said I might be okay without it since, my posture was really good, and it didn't cause me any problems. But now into my mid-thirties, neck pain, stiffness haunt me. And if I slightly overexert myself either standing too long at work or cutting the gr with a lawnmower my mid spine aches (where the curve is) Just wondering if anyone out there has had that surgery with the rod well into adulthood. Thanks for any answers.
